PROBLEM SOLVING

Does your dog have a retrieve problem, such as dropping birds before delivery, not coming back, or playing with birds? Does your coonhound leave trees? Does your family dog jump on every visitor that happens along?

Problem solving is offered on an individualized basis for any breed of hunting dog or companion breed with a particular issue--call or email to initially discuss your dog's particular situation.

OBEDIENCE TRAINING

An obedient dog is a happy dog with a contented owner. In addition, obedience is the foundation for all types of advanced training and this applies to virtually every canine persuasion and interest, including retrievers, bird dogs, hounds and beagles.

Offered for all breeds of dogs:

• The standard program takes 4 weeks after which the owner and the dog work together and refreshers are offered at no charge. At the end of this program each dog will perform all companion obedience commands in all situations and under various types of distractions. OWNERS MUST MAINTAIN THIS LEVEL OF TRAINING AND WILL BE SHOWN HOW TO ACCOMPLISH THE SAME.

• An introductory course takes 2.5 weeks and all obedience commands will be reliable on leash upon completion of this course.

• Both of these courses involve the dog staying on kennel premises; OTHER ARRANGEMENTS and DAY TRAINING can be arranged on a per case basis.

• One-on-one training is available by appointment and fees are established on a per case basis.

PUPPY SOCIALIZATION & TRAINING

You want that cute puppy and you love his bloodlines; you know he's the dog of your dreams. But...you just don't have time to invest in the puppy-rearing and training that is necessary to develop your puppy into a willing student and companion. Don't despair...help is available.

Puppy raising and training is available on an individual basis and includes socialization, crate training, go to "place" and obedience commands, and applicable introductory skills in hunting or competitive environment in which the dog is destined to spend the bulk of his lifetime with you. For retrievers this would include puppy marks and retrieving work, for bird dogs this would include introduction to birds, ranging and quartering, and for hounds this includes exposure to terrain, game, and scent work. Provided on a limited basis to provide optimal time with each puppy, this program is worth its weight in gold.
